Mimecast
Mimecast is a rapidly expanding Software as a Service (SAAS) company.
They provide an online technology platform which radically improves the way companies manage their most important business communication data.
Every day Mimecast takes care of millions of emails and documents for thousands of companies around the world. Their offices are staffed in London UK, Boston USA, South Africa and Jersey.
The Brief
Mimecast operate in a very competitive market, one of the main challenges was to differentiate the Mimecast brand in order to make it stand out from the rest of the croud. Liquid Light worked alongside Mimecast to help them define their visual direction and unique selling points.
Due to the nature of Mimecast’s wide target market it was important to create a solid, well thought out information architecture. The website was tailored to target each of their audience groups.
From a design perspective, it was a challenge to express the intangible service which is offered by Mimecast as something concrete to their potential customers.
The Challenge
Liquid Light were asked to refresh the existing Mimecast website in order to improve the visual presentation of their services and raise their profile as being at the centre of email security, reliability and storage.
The key objectives of the new site were to:
- Dramatically improve and differentiate the presentation of Mimecast and its services
- Raise their profile across a number of target sectors
- Improve their search engine presence for relevant search terms
- Improve their interaction with clients
The Result
The result is a vibrant, contemporary and fresh website which communicats the benefits of SAAS and ‘Unified Email Management’ to a broad target market. It appears corporate without looking stuffy. The new Mimecast logo expresses a modern company in line with its competitors yet at the same time differentiated by their contemporary image.
