3D Wines - Case Study
Since 1992, 3D Wines has been offering customers the chance to rent their own row of vines in genuine, award-winning French vineyards. The 3D Wines vineyard partner scheme allows wine lovers to rent their own row of vines, visit the vineyard, meet the winemaker and collect their wines in person.
The Brief
Liquid Light were approached to help completely redesign the 3D Wines website and provide ecommerce/content management tools that would allow them to manage their website more effectively.
The brief was to:
- Improve the stickiness of the website as product required some explanation
- Optimise the site structure whilst retaining existing search engine ranking
- Rationalise the different types of product offered by 3D Wines
- Increase the number of customer conversions
- Design a new look and feel for the website

The Challenge
Our main challenge was to provide 3D Wines the power and flexibility of an online ecommerce catalogue without compromising the unique nature of their product. Their previous website had relied upon a number of bespoke forms for making a purchase and had no content management facility for staff.
In addition to this, there was a need to provide a more engaging and persuasive experience for new customers, especially those who were looking for a more speculative purchase such as an unusual gift.
The Result
The Finished website has provided 3D Wines with:
- Ability to completely customise all aspects of the 3D Wines website
- A framework for more effective marketing content explaining the concept
- A simple customer-friendly design that includes elegant, aspirational themes
