To begin you will need to navigate to the website you wish to edit by opening a web browser and typing the url into the address bar. For this tutorial I am using our own website; liquidlight.co.uk but you will want to use your own website.

Once you website has loaded, click into the address bar again and to the end of your url add /typo3, for example; yourwebsite.com/typo3 and then press enter.

Your browser will now load a new screen requesting you to enter a username and password. In order to get access to the site you will have been provided a username and password by your sites administrator already so if you haven’t got these details you will need to organise this before you are able to login. Your username is normally your email address. It is also worth noting that the TYPO3 password is case sensitive so when typing in your password be very careful to type it correctly and ensure caps lock is not enabled on your keyboard.

Once you have entered your username and password click the “login” button and you will now be logged in to the site backend where you can edit content.

I hope you have found this guide to be helpful and please feel free to comment if you would like tutorials for other aspects of TYPO3 content management.
